Trupace M100 Treadmill Review
The Trupace M100 Treadmill is one of the more popular treadmills under $500 this year.

It can be difficult to find a solid motorized treadmill at this price point - especially one with some pretty decent features to it.

For example you get a decent 2.0 HP motor, 12% incline, backlit LCD display and integrated heart rate monitor. There's also 13 built-in workouts to give you a challenge.

Is the M100 treadmill right for you?  Here's a quick review to help you decide:

Strengths:

1) 12% Incline

Most treadmills under $1000 only give you up to 10% incline. So it's impressive to get an extra bit of incline on a treadmill at this price point. It will help you challenge your body, burn more calories, built in interval training etc.

2) Softdrop Folding

The Trupace M100 treadmill comes with a soft-drop folding mechanism. This means you not only can fold it up and out of the way to save space.

But the soft-drop mechanism makes it easy to fold and unfold the treadmill without the strain on your back. The treadmill practically unfolds itself.

There's also transport wheels on the bottom of the treadmill so you can easily fold it up and move it out of the way.

3) Incline / Speed Controls on the Side Handrails

This is a handy feature you often find in more expensive runner's treadmills. Instead of reaching forward, you can just change the speed or incline from the side handrails controls. It may seem like a little thing, but it can be very handy since reaching forward can sometimes throw off your stride.

4) Backlit Console

The console on the M100 is backlit which makes reading your workout stats easy, especially if lighting is not the best in your workout area. There's also quick incline and quick speed buttons (which means you can change your speed or incline with the touch of a button instead of scrolling up and down through your options).

5) 13 Built-in Workouts

If you're looking for a challenge, there are 13 built in workouts with the M100 treadmill. These automatically adjust the speed and/or incline for you while you're doing the program.

Weaknesses:

The belt on the Trupace M100 is on the small side at 16" x 50". This means if you're taller, you may feel like you're falling off the treadmill, especially if you want to run.

Also the warranty is not great - 5 years on the motor and 90 days on parts and labor. But really, at this price point, any kind of warranty is a plus.

Overall Conclusion:

It's getting harder to find a decent motorized treadmill under $500 these days. With inflation and construction costs climbing, manufacturers the world over are having the raise their treadmill prices.

So it's nice to find that the M100 offers you a good option in a treadmill under $500. You get a decent motor, stable feel, heart rate monitor and several built-in workouts.

While it's definitely not a health club treadmill, if you're on a budget but don't want a flimsy department store treadmill, the Trupace M100 is worth checking out. You can even read the latest user reviews here (scroll down).
