Reebok treadmills are manufactured by ICON Health and Fitness, one of the largest producers of exercise equipment in the world.
They also manufacture brands like Nordic Track, Proform, Image, Epic and Healthrider.
Reebok offers a number of economy to mid-priced treadmills starting around $999. These treadmills also get a boost because many people like the Reebok name.
Are they a good value for the money? Here's a review of to help you decide:
Strengths:
1) Large walking areas - Many of the newer Reebok models have large treadbelt walking areas - up to 60" long. This is handy for taller users or those who want to pick up the pace. The belt widths are also mostly 20" wide which helps give you a more spacious area when walking.
2) Lots of Treadmill "Extras" - Like other ICON brands you can find several of the higher end Reeboks with built-in TV's, built in speakers, music ports, plenty of workout programs, workout fans and more.
While these things aren't necessary, they can still get you excited about using your treadmill and getting in shape.
3) Fairly Positive Reviews - These treadmills do get fairly positive reviews from consumers. The average user rating (as of this writing) was about 4 out of 5 stars.
In the few positive reviews we have come across, the most popular feature of Reebok treadmills are the sturdy feel and the larger walking areas.
Weaknesses:
Many of the older Reebok models come with shorter warranties (i.e. 90 days). This lack of warranty protection tells you what kind of quality you're buying. It also means you could be out a lot of money to fix the treadmill if something goes wrong after 90 days.
Also, many Reebok models are similar to Nordic Track models - but the Nordic Track models come with longer warranties.
Conclusion:
Reebok home treadmills are manufactured by ICON - the largest fitness equipment manufacturer in the world. They aren't as popular as some of the other ICON brands but you can still find them kicking around in department stores or online.
While past models were not all that impressive, the newer models have stronger motor powers, longer warranties and more goodies like built-in TVs.
Personally however, we would not choose a Reebok over a Nordic track or a Sole which have longer warranties, better construction and higher expert ratings.
