The treadmills themselves in the Horizon lineup tend to be economy units. Starting around $599 and up, many Horizon treadmills are popular mainly because they're so affordable.
Horizon also offers a number of different treadmills to give buyers a good variety as well. For example the Horizon T91 treadmill (above left) is a fairly sturdy treadmill that would be good for walkers. It offers 9 built in workouts, 10% incline and a backlit orange LCD display that makes it easy to read your workout stats.
The Horizon T102 treadmill offers a little bit more with 12% incline, speakers with iPod dock and console fan.
The Horizon Evolve treadmill (above right) is specifically made to be a compact treadmill. It's only 10" high when folded and 59 inches long. It can be stored both vertically and horizontally (i.e. under a bed or in a closet).
It is one of the only "compact" treadmills on the market and is ideal for people in condos, apartments or those who like to travel and take their treadmill with them.
So are Horizon treadmills right for you?
Overall, these treadmills receive good user reviews and they are decently built. They offer good variety and are a great alternative to the ICON brands (Proform, Epic, Image, Weslo).
However be aware that these are not commercial grade machines. If you're looking for a stronger built brand, you may want to check out a Sole treadmill first.
