The Nordic Track T9Ci is an upgrade on our former 'Best Treadmill under $1000' - the C2500. It simply outdoes other budget treadmills on the market with a strong 2.5 HP motor, excellent warranty, one touch speed and incline controls and backlit console.
Plus the extra long 60" belt is nearly impossible to find on a treadmill under $1000. Then there's the little extras like the iPod dock with upgraded speakers and adjustable cushioning.
Although it's not necessarily recommended for runners or heavier users, the T9Ci still gives you more for your money than other treadmills in this price range.
