So is the Reebok C5500 right for you?
Here's a review of the good and the bad to let you decide for yourself:
Pros
- Rates Fairly Well With Buyers:
Reebok treadmills overall rate highly with buyers, earning 5 out of 5 stars on customer review sites. However since the C5500 is a new model there aren't any specific user reviews of that treadmill posted as yet.
At around $1200 the C 5500 is affordable for most treadmill buyers. If you buy it a store of course you'll probably be paying a marked-up price of around $1400.
Although Reebok isn't known for their extensive treadmill warranties, the Reebok C5500 actually comes with a lifetime frame and 10 year motor warranty, which is impressive (however be aware that all other parts and labor are only covered for 1 year)
Cons
- Not Suitable for Runners or Heavier Users:
If you're 200+ pounds or plan on using your treadmill to run, this is NOT your treadmill. Although it boasts a user weight capacity of 400 pounds, we still wouldn't take a chance that a treadmill at this price could protect your joints and back properly. Invest a little more in a solid, stable treadmill like a Sole or Landice.
Since it's fairly new, there aren't any user or expert reviews on the C5500 as yet. That doesn't mean it's a bad treadmill - or a good one. It just means the C5500 doesn't have a proven history as yet (which could be good, since prices sometimes rise with the number of positive ratings).
Overall Conclusion:
If you prefer the Reebok name and want a solid treadmill with extra walking space and a solid warranty, the Reebok C5500 treadmill is a decent buy.
