While the price is a definite strength, it can also be a weakness in the sense that no one (even Proform) can build a highly stable, sturdy, well-cushioned machine for this price.
Again - if you're concerned about your back, hips or joints, you might want to invest a little more and get a highly stable, quality cushioned treadmill like a Smooth.
With a 19 x 50 inch walking area, this is a small walking area that really would only be appropriate for walkers under 5' 8". It will not suit the taller walker or the runner (as you'll be worried about falling off the treadmill).
