The Proform 400 GL treadmill is definitely affordable if you're on a budget and it does offer a higher user weight capacity than most treadmills at this price point. The handweights are also a nice touch.
However the warranty is poor with only 3 years on the motor and 90 days on all other parts and labor. And the workout area is extremely small (only 17 x 50") which means if you're taller or pick up the pace, you may feel as if you're falling off the treadmill.
The Pro form 400 GL is definitely not for heavier users and runners. We would have concerns about the cushioning, lack of warranty, and extremely small walking area.
A treadmill is an investment in your health so if you can afford to spend a bit more and get a machine with a higher quality of support like a Sole or even a Nordic Track, do it.
