Warranty - Although Nordic Track usually offers 3 years on the motor, the C2255 comes with a lifetime motor warranty and a one year parts & labor warranty which is a huge improvement over the other Nordic Track economy models.

iFit Workout Card Compatible - iFit cards (sold separately) are personal trainer designed workouts you can insert into your treadmill. You get 8 Weeks of workouts on one card that you plug - 24 different workouts in total.

You choose cards based your goals - weight loss, wellness or performance. The iFit card controls the speed, incline and duration of your workout. The next time you insert the card, it will automatically progress to the next workout on the card. If you're really want to have your workouts designed for you (without paying the personal trainer fees), this is a great option.

Loads Of Workout Options - The MyMiles™ Odometer and the Carb Counter™ help you track and meet your fitness goals. There's also 6 built in workout programs and 1-Step™ pulse sensor to help you stay in your target heart rate range. It's really hard for you to get bored with this treadmill.

ClearView™ Blue Backlit Display - This makes it easy to see your workout stats (some cheaper consoles are difficult to read, especially if lighting is poor in your workout area). Plus you also get a Workout Intensity Meter which glows from blue to red as it measures your workout intensity, letting you know when you need to exercise a little harder or softer.

Strengths:

The Nordic Track C2255 is one of the better economy values in the Nordic Track lineup. It's very affordable and gives you some advanced features like the iFit compatiblity, blue backlit display, 3 position adjustable cushioning and intensity meter.

The lifetime motor warranty tells you about the quality of the motor construction and the 1 year parts and labor is a definite improvement on the old 90 day warranties some models use to carry.

Another plus is the price - if you can get it at the sale price ($899) direct from the manufacturer this treadmill is an absolute steal. (Although still not recommended for runners or heavier users).

Weaknesses:

We would have like to see a longer parts warranty on the treadmill as well as a higher motor power. (For the price however it's still excellent)

Also, the C2255 may have fairly good cushioning but it is still not recommended for runners or heavier users.

Overall Conclusion: Recommended

If you really love the Nordic Track name and want a decent basic treadmill with a few nice bonus features, the Nordic Track C2255 is a great option.

It gives you a decent motor power covered by a lifetime warranty, 300 lb user weight capacity and a fairly roomy walking area. Some unique features of the C2255 include the 3 position adjustable cushioning, with blue backlit display and iFit compatibility.

Although we would have liked to see a stronger motor power and longer parts warranty, the C2255 is still an excellent value for the money.
