Strengths:
350 lbs User Weight Capacity - This is actually quite high for a budget treadmill. It helps to contribute to the overall stable feel of the treadmill.
12 Year Motor Warranty - This is a pretty decent motor warranty - especially at this price point as the motor can be one of the most expensive parts of the treadmill to fix. (However note that all other parts and labor are only covered for 90 days).
PowerPulse™ Heart Rate Monitor - Stay in your target fat burning zone with the sensors built right into the handlebars of the treadmill. This is a popular feature with buyers however most treadmills do offer something similar.
Weaknesses
The Epic 400 MX only comes with a 90 day parts and labor warranty. This is extremely short. At this price point you can get much more in terms of warranty and fitness tools with other brands like Nordic Track
Overall Conclusion: Not Recommended
Although the price is attractive and most of the basics are there, to be quite honest, the Epic 400 MX looks so much like a Proform treadmill it's hard to tell them apart.
This makes sense since Icon makes both Proform and Epic. And some Proforms at this price actually give you more for your money including longer parts warranty and more workout programs.
While the 12 year motor warranty is a decent feature to have for this price, you have to realize that all other parts and labor is only covered for 90 days, which should give you cause to worry (keypads and electronics can also be expensive to fix).
