A Detailed Review of the Weslo Cadence 80
Weslo is known for producing some of the most economical tradmills on the market. The Weslo Cadence 80 treadmill is one of their more popular models.

Currently priced around $399, the Cadence 80  is affordable for the home exerciser on a budget. But is it a good buy for you?

Here's a quick reviewto help you decide:

Strengths:

Affordable - The Weslo Cadence 80 is definitely affordable if you're on a budget. To get a motorized treadmill for this price is quite decent.

Comfort Cell Cushioning - This is not the best cushioning system.  However it does reduce the impact on your joints by about 15% as compared to road running

Weaknesses:

Extra Small Walking Area - With a 16 x 45 inch walking area, this is one of the smallest walking areas on the market today.  It will not suit the taller walker or the runner (you'll feel like you're falling off the treadmill).

Manual Incline - You must manually adjust the level of incline you want. This is a huge inconvenience and most buyers don't like to get off the treadmill to adjust the incline.  There are similarly priced treadmills that offer more, including automatic incline adjustment.

90 Day Warranty - This should tell you something about the quality of the parts.

Overall Conclusion:  Not Recommended

While the Weslo Cadence C80 treadmill is affordable, we would not recommend it.  It's an economy unit that has some serious weaknesses including low motor power, tiny walking belt and 90 day warranty.

There are other treadmills - even at a similar price if you're on a budget - that offer you much more. Better warranties, stronger motor powers, automatic incline, etc. We would recommend looking at the Proform lineup for the budget conscious.

If you can afford to spend a bit more, you might want to invest and get a quality cushioned treadmill like a Sole or even a higher end Nordic Track.
