Strengths:
Compact For Easy Storage and Moving - The folded footprint of this treadmill measures just 11" x 29" which is extremely small and would be perfect for condos, apartments or small exercise areas. Weaknesses:
The Smooth EVO SX4 treadmill is built specifically as a compact treadmill and because of this you do sacrifice a few things. Obviously with a compact, economy treadmill you aren't going to get a club quality treadmill feel.
The belt is only 16" x 50" which is extremely small and not recommended for taller users as you'll probably feel like you're falling off the treadmill. The incline options aren't the best either - with only flat plane or 7% incline available. However, compared to other compact units that do not have any incline options, it's not bad.
Conclusion: Recommended as a Compact Treadmill
If you need a compact treadmill that still offers a high quality of construction, the Smooth EVO SX 4 is one of the best options out there. It has more workout programs, better shock absorption and higher speed limits than other compact treadmills on the market. Plus it's got an decent warranty to cover your investment.
If you really don't care about having a "compact treadmill", there are similarly priced treadmills (see the Nordic Track lineup for example) that offer you more in terms of incline, workout programs and exercise options.
