Strengths:

30% Incline - Most treadmills offer inclines of 10-15%.  With an incline of up to 30%, you can burn up to 3X the number of calories as compared to walking on a flat incline.

You can also build some amazing intervals into your workout with higher inclines.  This means faster results in less time.  Plus by forcing your muscles to work harder, incline training can boost your calorie burn for hours even after your workout.

15 Personal Trainer Workouts - The Reebok Incline trainer X5 comes with 15 built in workouts designed by a personal trainer. These control the speed and incline of the treadmill and each focus on a goal like weight loss or aerobic performance.

One Touch Speed and Incline Controls - Instead of scrolling up and down through speed and incline levels, you just press one button indicating the level you want and the X5 adjusts to your desired setting. This is especially useful with the 30 levels of incline.

Adjustable Resistance Cardio Cables- You can get an overall body workout with these cardio cables built into the console.  There are 8 levels of resistance and you can tone your arms, chest and shoulders while you work out.  This is another feature that is not offered on standard treadmills or incline trainers.

Weaknesses:

The motor power - at 2.0 HP - is a bit low however considering that the treadbelt isn't as long as some standard treadmills, it probably doesn't need as much power to run it.

Also, it's virtually the same machine as the Nordic Track X5 however it only offers 90 days warranty on parts and labor. The Nordic Track X5 offers one year - so it carries the better warranty than the Reebok incline trainer.

Overall Conclusion:

The Reebok X5 is a great option if you're looking for a better alternative to the Treadclimber (without the dual treadles that can easily break down).

It gives you the high incline (30%) to help burn 3 times the calories as flat plane walking.  But unlike the Treadclimber you can also run on it - with speeds up to 10 MPH. (Treadclimber speeds only run up to 4.5 MPH).  There's also a lot more room to move with a wider belt area.

The X5 can also function as a regular treadmill for flat plane walking or running.  The upper body arm cables are unique to the X5 - not found on treadmills or the Treadclimber. They can help you work your upper body into your workouts.

With all of that said however, we probably would choose the Nordic Track X5 Incline Trainer over the Reebok model due to it's longer parts and labor warranty.

A Quick Review of the Reebok X5 Incline Treadmill
The Reebok Incline Trainer X5 is pretty much the exact same machine as the Nordic Track X5 Incline Trainer.  Not surprising since the same company makes both the Reebok and Nordic Track names.

The X5 offers up to 30% inclines and can help you burn calories 3X faster than walking on a flat plane.

The reason for this is that high incline walking engages your lower body muscles in a greater range of motion, and requires more effort and more calories burned.
