Strengths:
Universal iPod® Dock with Speakers - Plug in your iPod or mp3 player and listen to your favorite music through 2 built-in speakers. This is an excellent feature to have on a treadmill under $500.
Roomy 20 x 55" Belt - This is a very large belt for a treadmill at this price point. Plus it has a decent sized motor power to back it up.
Excellent Warranty - With the Proform 4.5 Trainer you get a lifetime frame and motor warranty along with 1 year parts and service. Again, at this price point, this is one of the better warranties on the market and a vast improvement over old Proform models.
Custom Weight Loss Centre - he Weight Loss Centre uses your weight, work-out time and your calorie-burn goal to create a customized, weight loss workout.
Weaknesses:
While the Proform 4.5 Trainer has a lot of great things going for it, it's still an economy treadmill and not recommended for runners or heavier users.
Overall Conclusion:
The Pro form 4.5 Treadmill is currently one of the best treadmills under $600. To be honest, we're a bit surprised the price is so low. This treadmill could easily compete in the $700 range. It's our guess that the price will rise in the future.
While the Proform 4.5 is still not recommended for runners or heavier users, overall it's a great little bargain of a treadmill giving you a strong motor, excellent warranty, decent walking area and built-in workouts.
