Nordic Track X7 Incline Trainer Review
The NordicTrack X7 Incline Trainer is one of the best incline trainers on the market right now.

You get up to 40% incline which can help you burn 5X the calories (vs walking on a flat treadmill). You also get a 6% Decline to work different muscles.

The X7 has a longer belt than other incline trainers (55") which means most people can run on it comfortably. It also has a stronger 3.0 HP motor and a higher 12 MPH speed limit than other trainers.

The icing on the cake is the 7" full color touch screen display which works with iFit LIVE to give you a visual display of the trails you're running all over the world (powered by Google Terrain).

Strengths:

1) Burn Up To 5X More Calories with up to 40% Incline

The X7 gives you up to 40% inclines.  (Most treadmills offer inclines of 10-15%).

Incline walking forces your muscles through a greater range of motion and you can burn 3X more calories (walking on a 25% incline)  and 5X more calories (walking on a 40% incline) as compared to walking on a flat incline.  This means faster results and a more toned body in less time.

2) 6% Decline

You get up to 6% decline on the this trainer - which helps you work different muscles and get a better overall workout.

You don't usually find decline on a treadmill - except for some $5000 rehabilitation units. The decline also gives you a much more realistic feel to the Google trail workouts (see below). The treadmill declines (and inclines) to match the actual terrain that you're running.

3) Built-In Google Trails Workouts - Run Famous Trails All Over The World

You can choose from several famous world trails to cover including the Diamond Head Trail in Hawaii, Bright Angel at the Grand Canyon, Skyline Trail at Mount Rainier, Cathedral Rock in Nevada, Rapid River in Boise Idaho, Looking Glass in North Carolina and Panorama at Yosemite National Park.

You get to experience the physical terrain of each trail while you see the landmarks on the full-color display through the 7" Touch Screen Display. This is hands-down the coolest thing we've seen on a treadmill this year.

4) Reflex Deck Cushioning Reduces Impact By Nearly 42%

Reflex deck cushioning is Nordic track's best cushioning system - very soft and easy on the joints.

It reduces impact by nearly 42% compared to running on asphalt. So if you're a runner, prone to shin splints or just concerned about protecting your joints, this is a great cushioning system to have.

5) iPod Dock With Speakers

Plug in your iPod or Mp3 player and listen to your favorite tunes while you workout - another feature that can make your workouts more enjoyable.

6) iFit Live

If you have wireless internet in your home, you can use this to connect the X7 incline trainer to the Internet.  It's powered by Googlemaps and Google terrain so that you can run or walk even more trails all over the world.

You can customize and download your own workout programs and workout with Jillian Michaels from 'The Biggest Loser' - where she coaches you through your workout.

You can also race against your Facebook friends, track your activity and nutrition online and even download workout videos.

Weaknesses:

The belt is standard on this machine - 55" which some taller users or runners may find a bit short for them. If you want a longer belt (62") plus a larger console and a built-in web browser, you may want to check out the Nordic Track X9 incline trainer first.

Overall Conclusion:  Highly Recommended

If you're looking for the ultimate incline trainer, the X7 really does have it all: a strong 3.0 HP motor, specialized Reflex Deck cushioning to protect your joints, high 40% incline with a 6% decline and higher 12 MPH speed limit.

The entertainment options will blow you away too - iPod dock with speakers, iFit LIVE WiFi capability, Google trails where you can run famous trails all over the world and a 7" Touch Screen display giving you a clear picture of each trails. It's like a virtual reality game in your machine.

Overall, one of the best incline trainers on the market right now.
