The Livestrong LS9.9T treadmill is one of the more popular starter treadmills in the Livestrong lineup.
Livestrong is Lance Armstrong's new fitness brand (manufactured by Johnson - who also makes the highly rated Matrix and Vision treadmills.)
A portion or the sale proceeds from these treadmills go to Lance Armstrong's Livestrong Foundation which is very active in the fight against cancer.
The 9.9T offers an overall sleek design, attractive console and some great basics.
Is it a good buy for you? Here's what you need to know:

Strengths:
1) Decent 2.75 HP Motor With Lifetime Warranty
At this price point, this motor power is above average. Plus it's covered by a lifetime motor warranty to protect your investment.
2) Well Designed Console
The console on all of the Livestrong treadmills, including the 9.9T are beautifully designed. They're simple and well laid out - but still manage to appear sophisticated and easy to use.
3) 12 User Livetrack Fitness Journal
The Livestrong 9.9T comes with a Livetrack fitness journal. With the Fitness Journal program you can compare your current workout against your personal best or your last 5 workouts.
You can use this to track your results over time and see how far you've come.
4) iPod / Mp3 Dock
You can plug in your iPod or mp3 and listen to your favorite music or audiobook through the built in console speakers. While this is becoming fairly standard, it's still a useful feature that can make your workouts more enjoyable.
5) Speed & Incline Controls on the Side Handrails
The 9.9T treadmills has incline and speed controls on the side handrails in addition to the front console.
This can be useful as you can change your incline or speed without reaching up to the console, which can sometimes throw off your stride.
Weaknesses:
While there are some great reviews coming out of these treadmills (and we really liked them), they are still fairly new to the market and haven't had a lot of time to prove themselves yet.
Overall Conclusion:
The Livestrong LS9.9T is a great little budget buy from Johnson and Lance Armstrong. It has several very strong features (higher motor power, sophisticated console, heart rate monitor, etc.) along with some fun stuff thrown in (iPod dock, side bar speed/incline controls, fitness journal).
However it is new to the market and it's probably going to take a while for this treadmill to prove itself.
Then again, the Livestrong 9.9T gives you something other brands do not - a chance to help fight cancer.
