Buying a treadmill in Canada? You've probably noticed that there aren't as many options for Canadians as for treadmill buyers in the U.S.

But you can still find some great deals. In fact, years ago, Canadians couldn't even buy a treadmill online. (Click Here To See A List of Where To Buy A Treadmill in Canada Online)

But now more and more manufacturers are starting to sell direct to Canadians from their websites. So you are getting more options.

Buying online can save you money vs. buying at a store because you're buying direct. The seller doesn't have to pay salespeople or store markup - so these savings often get passed on to you.
A Little Know Trick That Can Save you $200 or More!

Plus when you buy online, you can often save on shipping costs - even get Free Shipping.

But while all that will save you money - there's another sneaky little trick that most buyers don't realize when buying a treadmill in Canada. Stick with me here and I'll explain.

Here's how to save money when buying a treadmill in Canada:

Canadians usually pay a few hundred dollars more for the exact same model as you'll find in the States. For some reason (probably the same reason Canadian book prices are higher), Canadian treadmills have always been priced up to $500 higher than the exact same treadmill models in the States.

So while Treadmill X is priced at $999 in the U.S. stores, in Canadian stores like Sears, Treadmill X will cost you $1299 Canadian or more. Not fair, I know - but that's the way it's been for years.

Here's where you save money.

While some online stores sell treadmills in Canadian dollars - there are a few stores that sell their treadmills in U.S. dollars. So that means that these treadmills are mostly priced at the U.S. prices - a few hundred dollars less than you'd find them in Canadian stores.

With the Canadian dollar floating around par and even higher than the U.S. dollar these days that means you can buy in U.S. Dollars but spend about the same in Canadian dollars once the exchange is calculated out on your credit card. Voila - you've just saved around $200 or more off the price of your treadmill.

This is a small loophole you can exploit to save money on your treadmill. However be warned, I don't know how long this loophole will last.

Some online stores may figure it out soon and increase their prices but until then - you can get a good discount on your next treadmill in Canada! See below for a list of Canadia treadmill stores including which ones price in U.S. dollars:
